Casadinhos – Brazilian Guava cookies for the Olympics
The Opening Ceremony of the Summer Olympics is this Friday. I love the parade of nations despite the interminable feeling of it all, because it gives each country – no matter how many or how few athletes, no matter how unlikely their chances of winning any medal – a moment of recognition. These athletes generally blow my mind – the things that their bodies do are incredible, and the dedication that they’ve put into mastering their sport shows a level of commitment that we could all learn from. Nutella Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie
Peanut Butter, Nutella, and Chocolate chips? Yes, please. This skillet cookie makes for a great group dessert – cut it up like a pie and serve a la mode. I will mention, though, that the wedge shown in the images here proves that my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Cut about 1/2 this size and you’ll have a normal serving! Continue reading

Krispie Jumbles
This is the first in our new monthly series of recipes which incorporate our Sweet Jumbles Marshmallows as an ingredient! To start things off easily, we’re tipping our hats to childhood favorite Rice Krispie Treats!
The great thing about using Sweet Jumbles Marshmallows in this recipe is that you can use pretty much any flavor that we offer! The images below simply show our Vanilla Bean marshmallows being used, but imagine how delicious these are with Chocolate, Caramel, or Fluffernutter Marshmallows!
Krispie Jumbles
1 dozen Sweet Jumbles Marshmallows
3 ½ c crispy rice cereal
2 T butter
- Grease an 8×8 pan with butter. (For thicker marshmallow treats, use a smaller pan or double the recipe). Set aside.
- In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Marshmallows may brown slightly as they cook – this is OK and it will not be noticeable in the final product.
- Remove from heat and add a crispy rice cereal (such as Kellogg’s Rice Krispies). Stir until well coated.
- Using buttered spatula or damp fingertips, press mixture into prepared pan. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares.
