This is the first in our new monthly series of recipes which incorporate our Sweet Jumbles Marshmallows as an ingredient! To start things off easily, we’re tipping our hats to childhood favorite Rice Krispy Treats!
The great thing about using Sweet Jumbles Marshmallows in this recipe is that you can use pretty much any flavor that we offer! The images below simply show our Vanilla Bean marshmallows being used, but imagine how delicious these are with Chocolate, Caramel, or Fluffernutter Marshmallows!
1 dozen Sweet Jumbles Marshmallows
3 ½ c crispy rice cereal
2 T butter
- Grease an 8×8 pan with butter. (For thicker marshmallow treats, use a smaller pan or double the recipe). Set aside.
- In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Marshmallows may brown slightly as they cook – this is OK and it will not be noticeable in the final product.
- Remove from heat and add a crispy rice cereal (such as Kellogg’s Rice Krispies). Stir until well coated.
- Using buttered spatula or damp fingertips, press mixture into prepared pan. Cool. Cut into 2-inch squares.
