As much as I love baking, I really really love ice cream. Homemade or store bought, hand dipped or soft serve. I love it all. So, today I present to you a combination of the classic milkshake and Sweet Jumbles marshmallows – a Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake.
The recipe here uses vanilla ice cream, because I actually do not at all like chocolate ice cream. But feel free to substitute that in if you prefer! Just be sure to toast the marshmallows really well, preferably even with some burnage!
Toasted Marshmallow Milkshake
Ingredients
3 scoops vanilla ice cream
3 Sweet Jumbles marshmallows
¼ c. Milk
Instructions
- Toast the three marshmallows, preferably getting some char on the outside and very gooey on the inside. If the heat isn’t making it to the center of the marshmallow, cut them in half to ensure they’re soft all the way through. Do this over a fire, with a kitchen torch, or even in your broiler.
- Place 2 of the marshmallows in a blender. Add 3 scoops of ice cream and a splash of milk.
- Blend well, adding a bit more milk if needed. However, a few pieces of marshmallow still in the milkshake isn’t a bad thing.
- Pour into a glass and add the last marshmallow on top as a garnish.
- Enjoy!
